WORKSHOP ON MAX-PLUS ALGEBRAS
and Their Applications to Discrete-event Systems,
Theoretical Computer Science, and Optimization
27-29 August 2001, Prague

Here is the program of the workshop.

The workshop takes place in Masarykova kolej, Thakurova 1, Praha 6, see the Symposium and Workshop Map to locate the place.

Please register for the workshop at the Symposium site, if this is not already done.

The Symposium secretariat can help you concerning accomodation.

See the Symposium site for general questions. Any questions concerning the workshop should be directed to Jean-Jacques.Loiseau@irccyn.ec-nantes.fr and Stephane.Gaubert@inria.fr

Note also that the European Network ALAPEDES (The Algebraic Approach to Performance Evaluation of Discrete Event Systems) will have a convention immediately before the workshop, at the same place, on Saturday 25. All interested workshop participants are welcome to the ALAPEDES scientific meeting. We will put here more information when available. For the moment, please contact the organizer, Niek.Tholen@math.tudelft.nl, for more information about the ALAPEDES convention.

PAPER SUBMISSION

The Workshop on Max-Plus Algebras is a part of the Symposium and therefore the rules are the same as for the Symposium, with the following particularities.

Full draft papers should be sent to the Workshop Program Committee Chairman

Dr. J. J. Loiseau
IRCyN de Nantes
1 rue de la Noe
44321 Nantes Cedex 03
France

tel.: 33-240 37 69 67
fax.: 33-240 37 69 30
email: Jean-Jacques.Loiseau@irccyn.ec-nantes.fr

Papers can be sent either by postal mail (5 copies are requested) or by email (email is the preferred submission mode). In case of email submissions, papers should be written as standard manuscripts and sent as attached pdf or ps (postscript) files, printable on both the letter paper (8.5in x 11in) and A4 paper (210mm x 297mm) sheets.

The cover page of each paper, besides the title, author's names, and complete addresses, should also contain the author's email or fax. Invited session proposals should consist of a short summary describing the session together with papers. The instructions for (authors) publishing in the proceedings of IFAC events can be found at http://www.elsevier.com/locate/ifac.

Submitting full papers is the normal procedure. Extended abstracts will be also accepted at submission time, provided they are detailed enough to allow a fair evaluation. Extended abstracts must contain in particular precise statements of the main results and complete reference lists, and be close enough to the final full paper.

See the Symposium page for language and copyright information.
